SCRLA Restaurant Membership Benefits

Dating back to 1950, the South Carolina Restaurant division of the SCRLA offers a wealth of benefits for foodservice operators who join, including free membership in both the National Restaurant Association and local chapters around the state.

Dual National Restaurant Association Membership - Make your membership go farther!

Independent restaurants that join the SCRLA automatically become a member of the National Restaurant Association, joining thousands of restaurants across the country and in South Carolina that rely on the SCRLA and NRA to help them save time and money and stay up to date on the latest news, research and trends in the restaurant industry. Members also count on the Associations to advocate for favorable laws and regulations, to promote the industry, and to provide a network to meet their peers.

Chapter Membership

Foodservice members also receive membership in our local partner associations, which include the Greater Columbia Restaurant Association, the Greater Greenville Chapter, the Hilton Head Island Bluffton Chapter, the L.U.C.C.Y. Chapter (Lancaster, Union, Chester, Chesterfield and York Counties), or the Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association.

Newsletter, Bulletins & Legislative Alerts

Our publications consist of up-to-date information on regional and national developments affecting your businesses, and information on relevant issues, bills, new laws and administrative rules.

Governmental Affairs

SCRLA's advocacy mission is simple: We advocate for legislation, regulations, resources, and a business climate that will promote a strong, vibrant, and growing lodging and tourism industry within South Carolina. Our goal, both current and historic, is to promote and ensure the success of lodging industry operators. We accomplish this goal through:

  • Passing needed legislation;
  • Killing detrimental bills that are proposed, advocating on regulatory issues at the federal, state, and local levels; and
  • Topical programming, educational events and written resources on all of the top issues facing restaurant and foodservice operators.

At the national level, SCRLA is a partner with the National Restaurant Association (NRA) to ensure that the South Carolina restaurant industry is represented in Washington D.C.

We have contract lobbyists representing the industry at the State House in Columbia and with various regulatory agencies to stand watch on issues that may impact our industry.  Click here for more information.
