Program History

In 1983, the MBAGCOA introduced the Myrtle Beach Golf Passport. This program seeks to do one thing: provide residents and second homeowners with an affordable golf experience. The passport is only available to residents and snowbirds that stay for an extended period. Today, the Passport is expanding to feature MBAHA Restaurant members.

How The Program Works

Create a member offers. This could be a specialty item only such as a dinner for 2 at a special price, a percentage off, such as 15% off the food total, or a promotional period, such as a free appetizer with the purchase of two entrees. Honestly, the choices are endless, and it is up to you when to offer, how long to offer, and ultimately, what is the officer. Offers can be specific to the day of the week or even a meal period or time of day.

Help fill in those empty seats when you need them the most. The single caveat is that the offer is exclusive to only passport holders.

Add your offer to the website. Once you sign up to participate, we will assign you a username and password to add, edit, upload, and remove your offers as you see most appropriate. The system is very user-friendly, and we have staff members to help you navigate your way through the platform or add the offer for you.

Activate your offer, enter dates/times, and then publish your offer to the website.  Members will have immediate access to see your offer.

Track your results. Gain new customers while building customers by signing them up for your loyalty program. You’ll be able to track your success on the program with the metrics and reporting that we provide.

Program Marketing and Promotion

The Myrtle Beach Passport will be marketed extensively in various ways using mobile targeted ads, social profiling with Facebook, and within a 50 miles radius of Horry/Georgetown/Brunswick Counties. Weekly email marketing to the members' database to introduce the new restaurant section and promote the restaurant offerings to current passport subscribers. The average open rate of the daily golf course rates is 35.4%. Television and local radio advertising will also complement social and email marketing during not peak demand times of the year.
