SCRLA wins awards for magazine and marketing campaign

The SCRLA is pleased to announce that the Association took home two awards at the South Carolina Society of Association Executives’ annual Best in Business Awards. The SCRLA Insider magazine won the award for Best Magazine/Journal and Restaurant Week South Carolina won for Best Marketing/Public Relations Program.

“We at the SCRLA are thrilled and honored to have received these awards recognizing the success of our Restaurant Week South Carolina campaign and the SCRLA Insider magazine,” said John Durst, SCRLA President and CEO. “Our team works tirelessly on programs like these to best serve our members and industry as a whole. I couldn't be more excited and proud of our staff for these well-earned accomplishments. “

SCSAE’s Best in Business Awards recognize associations that go above and beyond in their dedication to excellence. This year’s entries were judged by the Tennessee Society of Association Executives.

The Marketing/Public Relations Award recognized unique and creative campaigns used to market programs and events. Restaurant Week South Carolina took the top spot for its multi-faceted campaign that utilizes social media, print, television, online and radio advertising, live cooking segments on local television programs, billboards and the flagship www.RestaurantWeekSouthCarolina.com website.

The Best Magazine/Journal category was judged on content, writing, design, layout and illustrations. SCRLA Insider impressed the judges with its redesign of the former Hospitality News magazine. The magazine is produced in-house, and includes articles on best practices, regulations, legislation, SCRLA events, industry trends and more.

The SCRLA also took home one of the SCSAE’s Best in Business awards last year for the updated SCRLA.org website.
