Want to serve on a national committee? Under 30 Gateway needs you!

The Under 30 Gateway Committee is currently accepting resumes from Gateway members who are looking to make a difference within the hospitality industry on a national level. During your two year term, you will have the opportunity to represent the committee at events such as AH&LA @ HX:The Hotel Experience in New York City as well as the AH&LA Legislative Action Summit in Washington D.C.

National committee members serve as a voice for the over one million young industry professionals nationwide while also playing a vital role in strengthening that contingent by serving on one of two subcommittee, task forces within the Gateway:


*Membership Development & Communications
*Continuing Education


The national committee is looking for leaders from all areas within the industry from operations, sales, administration, finance, real estate development all to food and beverage...think you have what it takes?  Then come join us on our destination to success!

What drives you to want to take on this type of position and what difference do you believe you can make?


Which subcommittee (listed above) would you choose to serve on and why? What new ideas might you bring to the table? What skills do you possess that would help enable your ideas to become reality?


Give an example of an idea that you have taken from conception to implementation stage and explain how it enacted positive change for your organization.


Where do you see yourself professionally in 5 years?

Are you a member of the AH&LA Gateway? If not , sign up is easy at:


If selected, you will serve a two-year term and must attend at least one of two mandatory in person meetings per year (New York or Washington, D.C.).


Complete five of the accountability practice options (list provided upon acceptance).


The national committee is quite selective in its representatives, as every member is specifically chosen by AH&LA to ensure equal representation from each of our industry sectors and ensure a diverse mix of property, corporate, and supplier employees from all areas.


Selections will be finalized in early October 2016.
