The Greenville Chapter of the South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association launched à la heart GVL, an emergency assistance program for Greenville County's hospitality employees, in May 2024
à la heart GVL will provide emergency assistance to hospitality industry employees in Greenville County in times of personal crisis. Donations to à la heart GVL will support grantees’ basic service needs, such as paying utility bills and/or rent. In addition to financial support, the program connects hospitality workers with appropriate government and community organizations that can provide the following services to those in need: employment, financial
services, health and wellness, housing, legal, mental health, and substance abuse.
We already have substantial financial commitments to establish an initial fund.
This project is unique in that it will provide assistance for hospitality workers specifically in Greenville County—donations made locally will help those locally who are in need.
Consider becoming a Founding Sponsor
The Board of Directors of the Greenville Chapter of the SCRLA has established the giving level Founding Sponsor as a designation for those sponsors who recognize the value to the industry, and the individuals who comprise it, and our community that will accrue to the establishment of the à la heart GVL Emergency Assistance Fund. The designation "Founding Sponsor” will be given the first 20 sponsors who make a minimum contribution of $5,000+. There is no time limit on the receipt of this donation.
