The proposed revision of R. 61-25 Retail Food Establishments has successfully completed the legislative review process. The regulation will become effective on May 24, 2019, when it is printed in the State Register.

The new changes will be implemented on July 1, 2019.  We will have an informational meeting that is free to attend and open to the public to discuss the changes that are associated with the revised regulation, including changes to the annual inspection fee and new permit fee.  The proposed regulation is available on the DHEC website:  https://www.scdhec.gov/food-safety/retail-food/food-safety-regulations-codes-statutes
