THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT: SERVICE ANIMALS AT YOUR HOTEL
2:00 – 3:00 pm (EST) A Special Members-Only Webinar Moderator: Vanessa Sinders, senior vice president of government affairs, AH&LA
Speakers: Nancy Horton, information specialist, Mid-Atlantic ADA Center Marian Vessels, director, Mid-Atlantic ADA Center
Despite existing Department of Justice regulations on the definition of a service animal, many hoteliers and their guests still have questions about such areas as cleanup fees, property access, and defining who is allowed to have an animal. As we mark the 24th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), join this important Webinar during which these and more questions will be answered. Discuss new regulations addressing miniature horses and how they apply to the lodging industry, pick up some quick tips, and learn which questions you can and cannot ask about service animals. This session has been developed by the ADA Hospitality Initiative, a signature project of the ADA National Network (ADANN). In addition to answering your questions during the Webinar, ADANN will review additional resources for hoteliers with questions on the ADA, including their toll-free hotline: (800) 949-4232. Click here to register. (Please note: AH&LA member ID is required to register)
