As you may have heard in the news media, the Centers for Disease Control recently released updated guidance to address the spread of the Delta Variant of COVID-19. The CDC recommends all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, wear face coverings in public indoor settings.

SC DHEC also issued a statement in support of the CDC’s latest guidance.

The circumstances for a change in mask requirements are local and may be temporary depending on location. Therefore, we encourage each member to monitor their specific location and act accordingly and, most importantly, listen to your customers and staff. If your area of the state has rising cases, you may wish to strongly recommend guests and staff wear a face covering – at this point, this is your decision. Please be aware of any local ordinance or mask mandates that may come from your local government officials.

Please stay safe and we will keep you updated as we receive more information on the subject.
