SCRLA COVID 19 Information

On March 17, 2020, Governor McMaster issued Executive Order 2020-12, and most recently Executive Order 2020-15 directing all restaurants and food establishments within the State of South Carolina to suspend on-premises food and alcohol consumption for customers. The listed establishments may, however, operate their kitchens for the purpose of providing delivery, drive-thru or take-out services.  This order full shall remain in force and effect in accordance with their respective terms for the duration of the State of Emergency declare, unless otherwise modified, amended, or rescinded by the Governor. This means that until further notice, restaurants may only provide delivery, drive-thru or take-out services.

In response to the challenges of COVID-19 and in accordance with Executive Order 2020-12, the SCDOR is temporarily allowing retailers who meet certain requirements to sell sealed containers of beer and wine for curbside/drive-thru pickup for off-premises consumption.  Learn more here.

SCRLA continues to respond to the challenges Covid-19 presents across South Carolina’s hospitality industry during this unprecedented time.   The SCRLA in partnership with Jackson Lewis Law Firm and David Scott Peters hosted a free webinar to help our members learn more on how to respond to COVID-19/Coronavirus. Watch the recoding here.

We remain in close and constant communications with our state and national leaders and support organizations, including the Governor’s office, State Emergency Operations Center, our legislative leaders both statewide and federal, AHLA, NRA, AAHOA and others. We will vigorously fight for our industry, and are always available for your questions, comments, and concerns at info@scrla.org.
